Dealing with Baldness: a Look at Hair Systems

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:43 am

Male pattern baldness (Androgenic alopecia) is a typical affliction among men aged from as young as 16 years old upwards. However common, it’s no less traumatic for the individual. The balding process is commonly an early sign the person is ageing, and can happen as soon as just 16 or 17 years old, giving rise to depression and social anxiety. While the public at large view baldness as something normal, it’s not a laughing matter when it’s you who is suffering from going bald.

Male pattern baldness (Androgenic alopecia) affects men in diverse ways. Some don’t experience any form of balding pattern til their late 50s or 60s. Others suffer the normal pattern : a gradual losing of hair around the temples. Other patterns include the crown area first of all, or a fast thinning out of all hair (except at the back).

If every man lost his hair at the same pace in the same way, it could be said that we wouldn’t see it as so painful. Nonetheless, it’s the diversity of balding patterns and rate in how they happen (from individual to individual) that causes many men to feel rather insecure and even victimised by nature if they suffer particularly badly from balding.

Look online and you would be forgiven for thinking there’s a number of painless cures to losing your hair. Just apply X spray or take Y pills per day, and your hair will as if by magic grow back. For sure, there are hair thickeners, and medications that can slow down the balding process moderately, but there’s no authoritative cure to baldness – no magic lotion that individuals can use to utterly guarantee hair regrowth, or the prevention of baldness.

However, there are hairpieces that men can put on to hide their balding pate. These toupees can be developed according to their natural colour of hair and type of baldness. Even close-up it’s often difficult to understand that there is indeed a hairpiece blended in. If wearing one is the difference between feeling confident or feeling depressed and anxious, then it’s a good idea to wear one.
