Travels in Denmark
Denmark is a tiny country on top of the European continent, covering only 43.000 square kilometers. Denmark has more than 8.000 km of coast as Denmark is made up of the Jutland Peninsula and the main islands of Funen and Sealand.
Travelling in Denmark has constantly involved ferryboats in one way or other, but since 1998 it has been possible to cross the Great Belt by the Great Belt Fixed Link. The Paid Connection between Funen and Sealand comprises the East Span, a 6,790 meter suspension bridge from Sealand to Sprogoe and an 6,600 meter long bridgework between Sprogoe and Funen.
